Fair Trade organisation, KATAKUS, led the World Fair Trade Day celebrations in Davao on 09 May 09, in conjunction with APFTI, World Fair Trade Organisation-Philippines, Davao City Tourism Office and the City Government of Davao. "The World Fair Trade Day celebration at the People's Park wasn't a speech-ridden affair but more of a cultural show, with the purple-clad Kaliwad Theatre Collective belting out songs and performing dances charged with sentiments of hope for a better life amidst pressing global issues", said Ms Adi Guisido.
